aren't headers going to be a bit more than $300? I wouldn't know what to do after intake, exhaust, headers..... but I would do exterior **** to it first.

ever heard of obx? i have read posts where some have gotten it for just a lil over $300. but if you search, groupbuys were going for less than $350 shipped. why spend $1100 on the comptech header when you can spend much much less on obx and have the same gains? probably the best for the buck...

yah, they're a lil over $300, but instalation will cost over $200 as well.

you're still looking close to $600 for the whole thing.

how bout upgrading to the '02+ tails? dash trim kit? i'd go with something cosmetic if thats the most you're willing to spend.

oh god please don't get into this again.

comptech IS better quality, but in my opinion not worth triple the price. 'nuff said. i'm very happy with my obx's, they put out (give or take) the same power as the comptechs

If your budget is really tight, bargains can be found on the flakey ceramic coated OBX AV6 headers... Most places just want to get rid of these things...

Enjoy the performance gains just don't pop the hood and look at them.

I had the same scenario a while ago... I decided to get AEM TRU POWER PULLIES.

I got them for $125 and had them installed for $50...

I wanted headers but NO ONE WANTED TO GO IN ON THE GROUP PURCHASE WITH ME. Gregory at OBX sold me a set of 18" wheels about a year ago. He told me about the AV6 headers that were gonna be released sometime this year... I told him about ACURA-TL.COM and all the people interested and he was willing to work with us....

Luckily someone did some research and found out about Nippon Racing OBX... Gregory is a real nice guy and you should thank him for giving us the group purchase...

BTW did you guys get it direct from Steven @OBX Racing or from their major distributor SSAUTOCHROME (gregory)?

What ever happened to the $1200 set of 6-1 headers... ???

Headers are definitely worth the mod...but keep in mind the majority of the power is in the mid to upper range of the rpm which is about 80mph or VTEC and up on the rpm band for power. The CAI will generate hp in the mid to upper power also. The pulleys supposedly will get you to VTEC quicker so you can take advantage of the other mods, but there is the lingering question of whether or not pulleys will damage your engine. As to my knowledge there is probably no real product to help our low range...that and because the cars are geared for more upper end anyways.
