i need a little help
I changed my external trans filter, changed my 3rd and 4th pressure switches, and did a 3x3 fluid change. now my question is how many and where are the solenoid screens? i would like to clean those out as well as a precautionary measure any help would be greatly appreciated. also i did a lot of searching and reading before posting this i was trying to avoid creating a new thread but i had no luck.
In order to get to the solenoid (part #6) you have to pull out the battery and its housing also good time to check the positive and negative battery cables.
You can do it without pulling out the battery, but would need the right tools (a universal and extensions).
Part #7 can be reached from underneath the vehicle.
Note: Bring lots of rags and remove solenoids one at a time and carefully.

So now on that diagram you are saying that #10 #11 and #7 and #8 all have screens in front of them? Im sorry i just want to make sure im getting this right before i start ripping out solenoida and tearing gaskets and all that lol
tranny tune-up......
So, how's is the tranny behaving since ya did the D& F, filter, and pressure switches ??? Try running it and see if it's shifting good before making yourself more work. Sometimes the D& F will help to "clean" the solenoid screens if they were not too bad. If the fluid was really dirty and bad, the damage may already have been done to the vital internal parts of the tranny.

I have all the tools and the car seems to be a bit better. The fluid wasnt too bad looking it wasnt burnt it was just like old used trans fluid. I just want to do the screens anyway i want to do everything possible to this car to make it run as long as possible. So it is 7, 8, 10 and 11?
Like 3.2tlc said your tranny flush might have cleaned the screens. Pull out a few solenoids and check them before cleaning. No clogs means your flush did the job. Don`t clean them just to clean, only if there are visible signs of debris.
