I need a good sun shade!

My new job is in an office without a garage. Houston heat really sticks it to you in the summer.

I didn't realize what a huge windshield my TL has until I bought a regular car shade and it was too short. Then I went and bought the bigger "Truck" shade, and it turned out too long.

I've seen a few Lexuses and Audis that seem to have shades made custom to the model of the car, with the logo on them and all. I can't seem to find the same thing from Acura.

You think a Lexus ES300 shade would fit the TL?

Yeah, saw autoanything.com before, but $45 is a bit steep. The $30 shade on autocarparts.com sounds better, but I still don't know.

I guess I am being cheap here. Gotta pay more for the custom stuff.

I got mine from Costco and it's a perfect fit. It cost me $6-7 I think. It also has 2 free small shades for the driver and passenger window.

I got mine from eBay for a little less than $35 shipped. It's a lot thicker than the other one's I've bought in the past and it fits the windshield perfectly; don't even have to use the sun visors to hold it up. It's kind of expensive, but I think it was worth it. A good sunshade is a neccesity in Texas...

Try the below link where I bought mine from. It's perfect fit, cheap, and blocks out the heat really well.

Yup, its much thicker, and is a custom fit. Its definitely a top quality item. I use mine all the time. I used to have those cheap flimsy ones, but would hardly use them since they were so flimsy, would get all deformed, and were such a pain to put in place.

Time to also tint your windows. That will make a hugh difference if you haven't done so already.

You can also check CanvasWorks for your heatshield. If I remember correctly they had a groupbuy last year but was closed out before I had a chance to order. Ended up getting a Covercraft.

.. or you could just tint all your windows (..including the front windshield).

Yeah I am not keen on tinting my windows. I'm just not a window tint kind of guy. When I give someone the finger in traffic, I want them to see it. Takes too long to open the sunroof (for maximum visability).

I think I'm going to have to go with the Covercraft.
