Question I Need DIY For Wiring Neon Lights In The Footwells?

I plan on going to Walmart today and picking up the studio54 neon lights for the footwell. Ive already read some of the other posts on how they wired it all, but i cant seem to find where the passenger fuse box panel is? Is that under the glove box on the passenger side or what? If someone could please get me some detailed instructions for this installation i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks alot.

the previous owner of my car did a pretty sweet setup and wired neons in the front and back.

he used the moonroof fuse point to power them, i will try and take photos of the connections today. he wired it to a switch behind the kick panel under the steering column and put a neon in each footwell and then ran power underneath the center console. the power comes out and goes to a neon underneath each front seat to shine on the back footwells. and it's completely hidden.

wiring isn't hard, you just have to make sure you stay consistent with your positive and negative leads. i will try to get pics of my fuse block later today.

if you take the console apart you can always wire them to the cigarette lighter or something like that. then they're only on when the car is on and has an isolated power source.

Thanks alot for taking the time out to take pics of the wiring job and all. I appreciate it alot. Maybe you could also help me out with something else. Someone said not to wire the neons in the footwells to the passenger side fuse panel where the dome light is hooked up to because eventually your dome light will stop working and be busted. They then said to wire it to the battery instead of wiring it to the dome because of that reason. Is this true or is it safe to wire it to the Passenger fuse panel where the dome light is hooked up to?

DON'T DO IT!!!!!
I believe me and @cura-TL got broken dome lights if you use the DIY on acura inspired. You might blow a fuse and make it so your dome light can't fade/turn on when you open the door. Why not just wire it to the battery? I thought it was easier'

oh yea, it will cost 400 to fix

seriously though, i would not reccomend the acura inspired DYI. Just get a switch and some wires and wire it to the battery, mount the switch somewhere and u have some footwells

You just have to be careful with the AI DIY. Wire up one footwell, then 2, then 3, then 4 and see if the fuse blows. If it does, then maybe tap power from the cigarette lighter and add a relay to get the dome to turn them on.

I did mine using acura inspired DIY and working fine(it's been more than an year). Maybe you're tapping working location or dragging too much watt. What lamp are you guys using?

all it took was 1 fuse to blow to cause 400 dollars worth of damage. Something else fucked up to cause the dome light not to dim. just wire it to the battery, its easier
