I love this car!

2G TL
It doesn't particularly excel at anything, but it's a well rounded car. It's not the fastest. But it's quick enough.
It's not a hot car (like a STI or other performance vehicles) and nobody drives em 'cept for older folks so they're always stock looking, but they look cool as hell and when people see it they'll tell ya all the time wherever you go! (got 5 props today! two asked if I was selling it) The thugs always stare at it.

I want to trade it for a Lexus GS400 (300hp RWD!) but damn the uniqueness of this car is too great. I still wait to see when I will drive by someone with the same looking car...no luck yet. (only once at an Azine meet) I may even keep it long enough to supercharge it!

I'll never get sick of looking at it and going "damn, that's a cool looking car!". Sorry, just wanted to ramble. I sound like an idiot right now, my blood sugar is a little high right now but I hope you all feel the same way bout ur 2G's!

I believe this car is aging very well. It is the 2nd best selling sport sedan and around here they are everywhere. I think it's a good thing they're popular. Keep the resale up and makes getting another easier.

For those who dont know cars very well, I get asked how old my car is all the time. People think it's a recent model, might be how clean I keep it.

The HP might not be there, but it's great on gas and comes with everything I want it to. Makes for a good car.

I'd like my car more if i didnt have to worry about the tranny issues and only if it came in a 6spd so i dont havent to go through the headache of converting it.

i love my car... but i still want a 6 speed grand touring 350z ... i think im doing quite well in terms of cars for my age though so i really cant complain... plus i have other things to worry about than a car payment so im happy to say mines been paid off for almost a year now and i still give it the glance over the shoulder when i park and get out of it. the ABP gets lots of love too so i cant complain about that.

Yeah I got a 99tl SSM.

I get looks about it looks like a recent model in NY.

I would not sell it i plan on keeping it till the tranny dies. It was replaced at 100k though and still smooth. I got 150k now and its been with me for 7yrs.

Do know what i would get but i am leaning toward the current TL if I had to replace.

Peace

i feel like selling my car too, but every time i take a look at it, it just changes my mind... i always have to look behind me when I'm hitting the button on the remote to lock the doors, just to see it and to make sure i hear that "beep"...

i feel the exact same way, and think about it just about every day. this car couldnt have been built anymore perfect..its a huge shame and dissappointment that acura screwed up on the transmission.. it makes me sad thinking about it everyday. This car ages very well and has amazing curves at any angle. I love my tl, but i wish somehow theres a fix for this tranny problem, or else id keep it for a very long time.

o yea, i do get compliments as well. Makes me feel like im making the right choice, everyday.

I am among others here that really do like the 2G TL. While I may have the most boring color offered for the UA5 (Taffeta White), I still think my car looks great. I've toyed with the idea of buying a high mileage 00-01 TL along with my current one and turning one into a project car of sorts, stripping the interior and what not. Overall, I think our car has aged well, though I have only ever seen one modded LGM TL around me with countless others being driven by old women.

i really like how my 2G turns heads and doesnt look like everyones base TL. everyone asks about the pearl white and if its new. you should see the look on their faces when i tell them its a 2002 with 147,000 miles

One thing I'll knock it for is the drivers seat. It's just not built for people who are 6foot and taller. Also I wish it had a telescoping wheel. I either drive with my arms stretched out, or it feels like I'm making out with the wheel. And if I'm driving closer to the wheel, I hit my knee against the steering. Arg. It's really it's only down side.

Bummer, but I'm shorter so don't have that issue. I like the comfort of the seat tho.
