Wink I Just Lowered The Back Of My Car

I did it without any tool and I did it with stock shock and spring. HOW? try to stuff one 76keys MIDI keyboard, about 400 records, 2 turntables, one mixer, and a compuper in the trunk and the back seat...

I am moving and those things are so heavy that it's killing..... thank God that I am almost done... I can't trust anybody with those things, total worth close to 10 grand US.......

Too bad that I have to leave my VCR, and two 19' monitors to them... Well, hopefully those movers will do a good job...

Now, here comes to the TL related question. In the manual it says that the TL can take 900Kg of loads. So, is it okay if I leave those stuff on my care overnight? I mean once a while it won't hurt that much rite?

Is there anything that I should be careful with when I have such heavy loads...... I will have to drive about 200 miles with all those stuff on my car. I expect to have longer brake distance and a lot more understeer....... but anything else?

Thanks a lot for your help.........

It won't do anything to the springs, and it would not do anything to the shocks just sitting there. But you could bust the shocks with a lot of weight and going up/down. so be careful

Well remember springs are "dumb" they are just a coils going up and down. If the cars didn't have shocks, cars would bounce all day up/down. Shocks control the bounce and re-bounce of the springs, they are filled with liquid (oil) if too much weight on the car when going over bumps will cause the shocks to bust and break. Well not just going over bumps but just the imperfections of the road. Like when you are in your car on the highway you don't fell the going up/down of the car, because of the shocks, but if you look at other cars, you could see how they constantly go up/down and the shocks are working to prevent this or in other words smooth the ride. Hope this helps
