I got a quick question about my tansmission

I bought a salvage 03 TLS with a craked transmission cover, im looking for another tranny, i want to know if there is a differance that will keep them from being compatible between the regular TL tranny and the Type-S tranny? also can i use a 99? 00? 01? 02? tranny? thanks for the answers guys, this is my first acura.

i just asked that question a couple days ago. search before you ask. they will all fit. all the same tranny's except for teh 99 (its a 4 speed) u need the 5 speed

Thanks I just bought another 2001 tl today non type-s for the tranny, 1200 bucks, damaged to the side only, 95k miles thou, supposed to be delivered, monday, ill take the tranny out, are the front bumper and fenders same as the 2003?

I think the back bumper is the same, but the front bumper and fenders are different.

95k miles on the transmission?!??!

It'll probably explode tomorrow, honestly. I'd go with a rebuilt or remanufactured unit ONLY. Dealership charges $2500 for a remanufactured unit w/exchange, plus labor,with a 3/36 warranty.

Independent should can have it rebuilt parts and labor for under $3000.
