if you can borrow a pair of pliers and a 10-12 mm socket and ratchet- you too can seafoam the manifold vac!!
Or for now:
throw a can of seafoam in just under half tank of gas ~8 gallons to 16oz can (17.3 gal tank)
that will do a good job -repeat in a month -should feel a differance
Someday, buy a basic tool kit and you can do more maitenance like the TB air plate cleaning-
need to remove the same top plastic engine cover for that as seafoam in master Vac port method
how old are the spark plugs??--may have been done at 100 but you never know
Was the timing belt and water pump done at 105? or sometime??
Its still ready for plugs~ every 60-80 is my suggestion NGK Iridium

Don't forget to do your basic maintenance. It seems like your confidence level on performing your own maintenance is low, so take it to a trusted mechanic, have them replace the spark plugs, inspect the air filter and replace it if necessary, check the transmission fluids condition, maybe get an oil change if it's due/overdue, get the drive belts, timing belt inspected, get the coolant inspected... I could go on and on.
You're basically gonna have to invest time/money into it, especially if all you've done in the last year is drive it.
Have you been keeping up on oil changes and tire rotations??

ck your tire pressure! with summer heat many have low pressure and no idea~
Obama's eneregy plan is not wrong--a tire guage will save you money!
wheel alignment will effect mileage and a dirty egr system is no ones friend

All mechanical issues aside, I know what you mean. When I daily drove my TL it got 'boring' to me. When I daily drove a minivan all winter.. and then got back into my TL occasionally, it felt so much better than I could ever remember it.
Check out what people have mentioned mechanical wise -- and realize you do get bored with things.

when you do the timing belt-or on its own- only 50-60 bucks labor at most shops
install a lightweight crank pulley
go from 8 pounds to under 2 on the end of the crankshaft
then it will rev up fast, getting into vtec rpm like you never imagined
how much faster would ~you~ go if 6 lbs lighter lol

i had been doing all the regular maintenance like motor oil and filter, tire rotations. i also checked transmission fluid a week ago looks perfect and no smell. As far as air filter its clean but i am planning to get aftermarket ones. can you guys recommend any which would be under $100.

cheap effective air filter intake setup is to remove the intake resonator box and its connector to the stock air filter box
Optional -enlarge openings on bottem of air filter box
Install K&N air filter
99-01 can cut the fake foglight opening for better airflow into the `air storage bin`
Done= total cost- ~$50 for the filter
