Post hydrolock

i have the weapon-r intake and i want to switch to the aem cai but i am more than a little afraid of hydrolock. living in florida i see my fair share of rain. have any of you bought and installed the bypass valve that aem makes.....if so does it work well or is it some crappy gimick that just allows them to pocket $48 of our hard earned cash?

Well I can tell you it is cheap plastic and tough to install. It is really difficult to slide over the metal piping to make the connection. It may not be sophisticated, but $48.00 is cheap insurance to keep an engine from seizing. I have to believe that AEM would not produce a worthless product as they appear to be a reputable company.
