not only are they hydraulic oil filled motor mounts- they have a vacuum assist system!
If you are looking at solid polyurethane- those may transmit a LOT of road and engine trans feel back into the car - just my opinion

The only real difference would be the non hydrolic ones might be a less comfy ride.

IMO, the factory ones are crap. I say they are crap because they break fairly easily, especially in a modified TLS/CLS. I had my first mount (I think it was the front one, with only headers) go bad at 50k and now at 70k, the mounts are shot. Despite being 18, I drive pretty conservative.
You could always pick up a set of Innovative Motor Mounts from Excelerate (in Black Market). They are advertised to be more comfortable than stock and have a lifetime warranty. That's what I did.
If you want to wait, I can report back about the difference in ride once I get them in and installed.

you cant buy the mounts at zone- its dealer or the special aftermarket ones
As I had said- the poly filled bushing will transmit more feedback to the car than the vac-oil setup.
Yes they break- usually around 50-70-90k miles regardless of how you drive.
That doesnt make it a suck part- just doing its job takes a lot of effort
You try holding on during vtec!

no matter how i look at it all my mounts are shot so they cant be any worst than thr ride now
I just replaced the front and side mount. OEM Acura parts cost $130 shipped to me from an Acura Dealership in Georgia. The rear mount seldom goes bad on our cars and mine was fine.

EDIT: That is for a 99, but I think all the TL-P's use the same mounts.

Yes that's the site I used in Georgia. Plug in your cars info. on the site. Year, model etc. and click on Engine Mount. You will find them there. I ordered mine online. Shipping was cheap and parts were about 25% less than the stealership here in the Asheville NC area.

The dealer would have inspected them while trans is out- and usually suggest replacement based on leakage found while under the car.
Since the parts are just over 100, the labor is the killer UNLESS trans is already removed
If you just got a trans and its acting funny, go back to the dealer.
If it does need mounts- they should charge you the labor for doing it with trans removed already- thats 3/10s of 1 hour not 3 hours!

I should be getting mine in the mail on friday. I will hopefully get them installed this weekend and I'll report back on how they are compared to the POS factory ones.

I received mine, but I haven't yet had time to get them installed. School first. There are a couple of reviews in the BM about them though.

The vibrations at idle are increased, but not excessive.
The ride is more secure, the car feels very planted to the ground at WOT. I'd definitely get these again!

So vibration is increased. Is it clearly noticeable, as in takes away from the comfort the car initially had?

Yes it is noticeable and it does take a way from some of the comfort at idle, but I was stuck in stop and go traffic for two hours and it was plenty bareable. At highway speeds, no difference from stock. Originally Posted by Acuracy02

IMPORTANT: there was an issue with the side mount, Excelerate and Innovative are sending everyone a new redesigned side mount. If you have time, ask me after I put that new one in to see if anything changed.
