I'm very happy with my recently purchased used 2000 TL. It's a blast to drive! Other than the usual tranny codes, the heated seats don't work, and the blower will not direct air to the footwells.
So researching this, it's the Mode Control Motor 1999-2003 Acura 79140S0KA01. This part is not available on eBay, and it's no longer available from Acura.
I was wondering if anyone's been able to use this part from another Acura/Honda car to either repair or replace the one on the TL?
For instance, this one looks so simiar, and the part number is very close.

 

I'd roll the dice on that ebay part if I were in need to replace this actuator.
As you say, the TL 79140-S0K-A01 part number is similar to the 79140-S84-A01 Honda Odyssey one.
In fact, according to the website below, the only thing different is the 'model' code S84.
