I just use the power from the middle console and then run the cable through the cup holder and just keep it in there.

I have a nokia car kit. I used it for my 6185 and mounted it to the left of the radio. Its hardwired to the battery and has a speaker mounted under the dash and a mic by the rearview mirror. Only problem is my Nokia phone broke and Sprint (who sucks btw) doesnt sell Nokia phones anymore so i have a sprint phone which doesnt fit my car kit. anyone want to buy a nokia car kit? Fits 5100/6100/7100 series phones

I have little nokia phone (8260), so i put it in little gap under coin tray. Works good because when it rings when my music is load it sends some weird buzz/destortion through my speakers so i can know its ringing. Yes, jerry rig is right.

The TLs lack of a proper space for a cell phone is unbelievable. Would there be anyone with a car of this cost who does not have one. The only place to put it is in the cupholder. I would never stick or screw a holder onto my dash. IMHO, my Accord has a great spot in the centre dash hole.

Also, I was putting my cell phone on the space to the right of the shifter, but plastic bumps on the back of the cell phone scratched the painted surround, to the shifter, AHHHHHHHHHHHH. This is one cheap plastic item, easily damaged. Also those doors to the cupholder are also easily damaged (scratched).

I used a Pro.Fit mount on my 97 Accord and loved it. It's a cell phone mount made out of sheet metal and cut to fit each vehicle make and model.

The nice thing about these mounts is that they fit into the gap between the dashboard trim without poking holes anywhere. The mount is screwed into structural members behind the trim, typically onto the radio support railings, and sometimes requiring no extra holes to be drilled. They cost typically $40 each.

They also have a tripod J-mount to which you can attach a GPS monitor (which was what I used the arrangement for). It looks really clean! No goosenecks, no external screws.

I just leave mine in the top part of the center console. Run the power cable from the socket up through the "mousehole" to charge it as necessary. It's loud enough on max ring volume to hear through the closed console. And if I forget to take it out it's not visible and a theft temptation.

That's cool - I actually just looked today and on the side of the upper console closest to the passenger, there's a little "hole" in order to run a cable from the power below. Definitely keeps the phone out of sight!

I simply place it on the driver side door handle. That is the closest place that I can put it that is easily accessible. When I charge it tho, I put it in the center cup holder.
