Question how to remove engine harness for swap

hey guys so my girl has a 01 tl and the timing belt jumped 5 teeth and busted up the heads.. so im just swapin the motor out... but my question is this
-do i remove the engine harness from the engine sensors? or is it easer to unplug the engine harness from the other side of the fire wall and pull the engine with the harness attached?

i have the engine harness almost all off except the injectors which id have to pull the intake mani to get to....
so any one that has pull this engine before.. tryin to figure out which is an easer way to get the harness ..
thanks for the help guys!

I believe you remove the harness on the engine sensor; fsttms1 would have a better answer on this one.

How many miles do you have on the original engine?

Pull it from the ECU through the firewall. Far easier.

That's what me and Joe did when we did mine. Just unplug from the ECU and keep the whole harness attached to the motor.

It must be a rare thing. Probably the tensioner failed.

The ECU is sitting on the hump in the floor kinda below the radio. If you pull the carpet back you will see it. Then from the engine compt side you will see where it goes thru (you will probably have to move the fuse panel under the hood to make it easier) there are 2 bolts that hold it there. Once those are removed you can disconnect it from the ECU and pull it thru the firewall
