I took advantage of this process on a hot day, about 95 degrees. I used warm water to soak the adhesive. I then took dental floss to saw through the adhesive. Once the emblems were removed, I simply took my finger, and rubbed it off using a combination of hot water, and bug, tar, and sap remover. I got a little scared when I saw some swirl marks, but they buffed out nicely when I waxed the affected area by hand.
Thanks for showing me the process, and giving me the knowledge and confidence to pull this off guys!

This is very difficult when it's really cold outside. My letters were falling off and I had lost the "U" so I decided to debadge. The letters came off easy enough, but the tape wouldn't come off because it was so freaking cold when I tried. I gave the Acura badge a few good coats of Plasti-dip spray. Black badges from me. I was going to do a black mesh grill with a black Acura badge on front too, but the home made grill thing turned out to be a bust. Still went with the black badges. I hated the gold. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to mix gold badges with chrome trim should be beaten. The best part about plasti-dip is that if I decide I don't like it...I can just peel it off. I know my car is really dirty...it just drove halfway across the country (TX to WA) and I'm leaving the grime on as a badge of honor for a week or so.

well you have to realize that the tape has been on there for 9-10 years so its gonna take quite a bit of effort to get them off. it can take up to an hour to get all the goo off. just gotta be patient and keep working at it with the goo gone. let the goo soak up the goo gone first as well.

Didn't debage my car but did take the body side molding off of my 3G TL. Used WD40 and dental floss. I didn't use the floss across the entire molding only about 10% across. After, I just slowly lifed the molding off. Damn thing worked like a charm. Used Goo Off to get the sticky adhesive off. What was left was the weathered paint. Washed the entire car and waxed the affected area and she looks brand new. Thank you Acurazine
