I think that the majority of older TL drivers might not be online going to a TL forum. That might skew the poll a bit.

Man, you guys sure know how to make a guy feel old! If I had had a TL at 18, I probably would not have lived to see 19. Sometimes I worry about seeing 38.

Actually, I'm M/36.

When I was 18, I was driving a '76 AMC Pacer, first car (if you can call it that) I owned (in college) was a '79 Mercury Zephyr. In a full-on drag race between the Pacer, Zephyr, and a TL-S with a blown tranny, the TL-S still would win.....

Wow, an age check! How quaint! (Been on the 'net since 1986)

Dayum, I feel like a geezer around here!

33/m/Black. My wife would definitely shoot me if I even thought about dating, Asian women or no!

Hi,

I think that I am the eldest at present.
I am 47 male driving 2002 Saber in Japan.

It is really surprising that so many teenagers driving TL.
Here many young people drives smaller vehicles (in outer dimension, not small in power).

One reason will be because our country is small and we don't have many highways like you people do.
Most roads except highways have speed limit of 60km/h (40mph).
Yes, young guys drive on highway by 100mph+, but since all the highways here are very expensive toll road, it looks like a big fun for them to drive on winding road fast.

Japan is a country of mountains, so there are many winding road all over.
TL is too large and heavy to drive on tight winding road fast.
RX-7, Lexus IS, Impreza, Evolution-7, GT-R etc are popular and they are flying over the road

By the way, I like Saber very much as this is fast enough when I floor the gas pedal and is gentle enough when I drive with my family.

Ouch!

But it sure is nice to drive a sports car and still have plenty of room for the family.

You got it dude! This may not be a true sports car, but it's the fastest thing I've had yet. When I was 16 I had a 73' Buick Lesabre. I tell you what, I could drive through anything with that tank. Not much to look at, but it was like a living room in the back seat.

Kids these days....... I STILL wouldn't trade my younger years..........A bag in my pocket, a bag in my arm, and lots of road in front of me

How old are you TL drivers?

Geez - At 18 I was driving a '74 Plymouth Valiant. I'm 38 with an '02 ABP TL-S w/navi.

(OK - I had a Black '69 Camaro too at 18, but the Valiant was the daily driver)

i was thinking.. when is it too old to be fixin up cars? IMHO, you should stop at 30.... whenever i see these older folks drivin around fixed up cars, i shake my head at them.. especially when they try to race me.... i just wanna yell out the window and say "grow up will you".... i am not sayin older people should not be drivin fast cars or sport cars... there is nothing that looks more awesome than older men driving vettes, vipers, etc... but when i see them in these modded hondas and toyotas, i really think they should know that they look pretty ridiculous.... maybe because when i got into this world, only high school and college kids were into it... mah friends and i used to get maddogged and were called "rice burners" by the same type of people who now fix up cars themselves .... fixin up seems like it's getting played out... especially in Cali.... of course this is all my opinion
