Question How much for a wrecked TL?

I was wondering if anyone has sold a totalled TL to a junkyard/salvage company and how much they got for it.

I crashed my 2000 TL and the front end is pretty much gone, but everything else is in pretty decent shape. Oh, I hit one of the rear wheels on something and it's not sitting straight, either. But the interior (tan) is in really good condition.

How much do you think I could get for it? The insurance company says if I want to keep it and sell it/part it out/use it for parts they will take $500 bucks off the payout (the sales tax amt). I guess if I could get a few hundred bucks more than $500 it would be worth it to take off of their hands.

I agree I think you should part it out because 500 is not alot of money and I do believe you can more than that off parts

LOL, that happened to my '95 Monte Carlo... my fiance gripes everytime she drives my car about how my 'driver's seat has no cushion to it'. I hardly even notice it unless I'm driving for a couple hours...

alright well it doesn't have navi so sorry to disappoint. i will get back to u all about what happens. i don't think it will be just $500 off the payoff amt - likely more b/c they will take off for the time they had it stored at the salvage yard, etc. etc. also i don't really have the luxury of a parking space to store a heap of metal while parting it out so i am just goin to see if a junkyard will buy it from me.

or if you live locally (boston) you could buy the whole thing off of me and part it out yourself. just PM me to let me know your interest, and leave a phone #. oh yeah - the driver's side's heating element did not work. the airbags popped. rear axle or the end of it is probably no good. and like i said, front end is pretty smashed. the interior, sides and back end are all in good shape.

Abou 3 months ago I sold mine 2000 TL-P w/NAVI and 98.5K miles and with front end totaled for $2100 to auctioner. Both airbags poped, driver droor was jammed, both front wheels/tires were gone, etc.
