Question How much work would be required to ...

Ok..
I have a little wear on my drivers seat, over time it tends to do that. I was wondering how much work would it be to switch the drivers seat with the passengers seat. I know the drivers seat has 6-way adjustment, and the passengers seat is only a 4-way. I don't want to move the seat adjustments I just want to switch the part you sit on and maby the back part, but I think the wera is only in the part you would sit on.

I don't want to start this project unless I have a little guidance, I have no problem taking the seat out, I would just like to hear from someone who has done something like this. lookin' for some tips.
-Thanks guys and gals-

The two seats are different, I believe. At least they feel different when I sit in them.

Dont go through all of that. Instead, just redye the seat. Go to www.leatherique.com and talk with the owner, George, by email. I had him mix me up dye for my Tan interior and it was a flawless match. You will learn alot more aobut the process if you go to the site than for me to try to describe it. It should give you perfect results if done right. BTW, their leather conditioner and rejuvinating oil is great too.

thanks guys, i will check put that repair method. I think the leather is cracked it the place of damage. If the dye will color it the same colour as my seats, the texture will still feel the way it does now. I haven't gone to the site yet, so I will probably get the info I need there.... thanks for the replys guys, always appreciated !

Don't muck with the chairs unless you know what you are doing...

The track under the driver seat (which contains the engines for the movement) costs $521 alone!

Isn't the leather just a leather seat cover? I dunno about Acura, but when I complained about the lines prematurely showing up on the seat of my Yukon, the dealer just removed the old seat cover and installed a new one--no seats or other hardware to remove and replace.

All the seats in a TL have replaceable covers. But they arent cheap. Call the dealer. Then you need to find someone to do it. It is a real pain to do.
