How much should I pay for a 60 k service?
I know from past cars that this service will rape you. So I'm gonna shop around for the best deal around... how much is reasonable for this service?
thanks!
thanks!

I think I paid $330, although when I went to the dealer for my 90,000 it was $425! Hopefully that included something the 60,000 mile maintenance didn't, or else I got raped...

it's a ripoff.
big time.
unless you need something fixed....skip it.
go get your fluids changed at a reliable shop.
save the money for the timing belt replacement...

guys are you kidding me! look at what they had to do...probably nothing that was needed. Those "routine" services are for you to go into the dealer and get screwed out of money...I mean if you think you need it ok, but I guarantee you dont. Look for a good mechanic, I did and my 60K service cost 50 bucks...I didnt need anything, just fluids.

Question: What does the 60k service include that the 30k doesn't? Can't I just tell the shop that I want a "30k" service even tho my car is 60k? That is, unless there's something crucial the 60k is missing...

different quotes
I called 2 acura dealers for 60K service and one gave me a quote of 365 and the other one 625. I do not know why there is this big difference.
Can I skip this service ? I mean get all the fluids changed from say Jiffy-Lube for about 100 bucks. What else do these dealers do ? I looked in the book and they do not seem to be doing significant stuff.
I have to get the recall check done and also my steering wheel shudders when i am hit the gas pedal initially. So I should probably just go for that.
I wanted to take advice from you guys before i pour money down the drain(dealer).
I am in central NJ.

THE MIDAS TOUCH!!!!
Midas actually quoted me a price once on a 52000 mile service which was about 75 dollars cheaper and they would do the same service that the dealer was charging for...
