Anyone with subs, rattle problems.

Hey guys, the more my sub pumps, the more rattle i hear with time. I remember in my maxima my trunk was built much better than the TLs, and i had two 12" kickers, now i only have one 12" eclipse.

So basically, can you guys list what is a known problem for the rattles, if everyone posts, we will have a g00d list to go thru and check everything.

I also noticed, that my right side rear bumper contributes to the rattle, when i raise the right side of the bumper, most of my rattle goes away. So where do i fasten the bumper?

I have two 12" Orion comp DVC's and the rattle isn't that bad, it makes the whole car shake, but no pronounced rattle from the bumper. Did you get into an accident at any point? If not then try to tie a metal bracket to the undercarriage.

I had my truck rattling when I first picked up the TL... somebody posted a comment about adjusting the little rubber spacers (?) located inside the lid of the trunk. All is well...

where are the bolts and clips for the bumper, im sure one is a bit loose. Im very picky, so even if a tiny sound that i dont like, will get me moving to find the problem.

also im not just talking about my bumper, i would like to know what other areas may cause it. all i know i have some tiny rattle from the right side of the rear and i would like to target and correct the problem.

If you dont think your car rattles...turn your system up and go outside to listen to the trunk...the trunk rattles like a mother... It sounds fine inside the car because of the dynamat on the rear deck, but the trunk doesnt sit tight enough and is too light. The subs move so much air that they move the trunk just enough to rattle it.

I dynamatted my trunk and it still rattles... I have two Audiobahn 1200q's pushing 1400 watts each powered by a 1200 watt mono amp (bridged). I insulated the top completely but it's really hard putting your hands through the holes to get the outer trunk where you can see the "A" symbol and "A C U R A", etc... I heard it's also good to get rid of the stock sub and dynamat all the area around it... But your bass will definetly increase after you put it in!

inside it sounds beatuful, but when i do check outside the car, with at least 50% of the volume, i can pick up some rattle.... im just thinking to do the same as i did for my maxima, cut out and shape 1 inch thick of plywood to fit on the floor of the trunk, this will eat up the resonance, hopefully kill some rattles....but i still want to know where da hell are the bolts to tighten for the rear bumper.
