How much should a EGR valve replacement cost?
Hi-
I have a 2003TL premium model. Car wouldn't start, and the dealer isolated the problem to the EGR valve. Is $453 and excess car for replacing an valve???

The part is maybe $100 and from what I can see, unplug it, remove two screws and pop the new one on.
Gonna move it to the 2nd gen forum. Maybe someone else has replaced it.

its NOT the egr valve that gets dirty and it rarely fails
The egr PORTS in the intake manifold get plugged and cause running issues- often felt at idle. Thats removal of the manifld and cleaning- 2 hours DIY
Describe the symptoms, what the car was doing before it did whatever its doing now, codes found, and background on the car- miles etc- then we can help you diagnose it properly
