How much to fill up your tank?

With the cost of gas being so high right now and with all indications it's just going to get even higher, I was wondering how much everyone is paying to fill up their tank?

Lightbulb gas prices

That's a toughy ...... mainly because I have yet to let my tank get below 1/2 .......
Just a little more phychalogical seeing $20-30 instead of $65-70 each time.

Filling up any tank today is not a happy thought...

it'd be 50-55$ full though

$51 this AM for 93 octane with the light having just come on. I like the "fill at half-way" mindset tho, gonna start doing that.

So you saved yourself 3 bucks at the pump for a less efficient motor(less mpg), less power. The few times i have run the stuff the mileage i lost was more than what was saved at the pump. Stick with what is recommended for the car.

better question, what type of gas mileage is everyone getting?

I average about 20 between suburban, urban and highway driving

For this question a quick use of the search button brings up about 15+ threads on MPG

I heard there's a way to get 100 extra miles on the tank. You have to donate $100 to someone to learn the secret though.

Edit: Sarcasm guys...

No but it will make your wallet $100 lighter, therefore reducing weight and increasing MPGs.

for me.. i always put in $30-35 everytime i fill up. i get less gas in the tank but i can't afford to put in anymore money cause i get 13mpg in the city, pointless. i run out of gas every 4 days (i always refill when my gas meter is way below the red mark, yea... it's horrible).

but yeah.. some of you guys need to stop complaining! at least you guys don't have to deal with watching your gas meter drop every stop light. trust me, i watch it while it's in action, not a fun and pleasant sight to see.

btw.. last fill up, i pumped up from empty all the way to a bit below half.. and i only got 101 miles out of that before i had to pump up. i wonder who can beat that.
