So quick disclaimer.....this is a total noob question, but cant seem to find this simple bit of info online.

How many transmission to engine block bolts are there on a j32a2 block with a b7wa trans?

I have removed 7 (and disconnected the transaxle bracket and motor mount bolt on the trans side) already, but the case and block wont separate. Pics of the torque converter cases online look like there are holes for 8 bolts plus 2 studs. Anyone have a pic with bolt locations or can confirm that there really are 8 bolts holding the trans case to the block?

I can take pics of where I'm at with the removal if it helps.

 

Did you take off the starter ?
Also the bolts from the TQ Converter ?

 

Did you remove the inspection cover on the bottom of the trans and remove the tq to flex plate bolts? There are 2 hidden behind the rear engine mount, 2 on the very bottom and 4 along the top for a total of 8 if memory serves correctly. Then there are the 2 trans mounts that need to be removed as well.

 

Two at the bottom (head size 14mm) the front engine mount ties the motor and engine together. And pull the starter, one goes into the motor.
