How many resonators on our TL?

There is one under our air filter (I know that one) where else? How many under the car? What is the level of loudness if I remove ALL of them? Do I need ear plugs while driving? Which one would you remove if you don't want to spend the $$ on an exhaust system but want the throatier sound?

There are 2 on the exhaust. I took both of them off and got two 50 series 3 chamber flowmasters on there. It is throtey and sounds awsome. Pretty loud not loud like a mustang but it is deep enough.

Define 'take them off' Is there anything you need to reconnect or buy like additional pipe for the length of the resonator that you have removed?

I went to a local body shop and they cut them off with a blow torch. Then they got a bigger pice of tubing put it in this macine to make it wider on the ends rounded it off and welded it back on. Pretty easy charged me like $50 to take them off. I reccomend the flowmasters even though half the people on this site would say redneck but if you here the sound you would be like damn.

when you take off the resonators does the car perform better? do you get anymore pickup? does it make that car sound like it has a custome exhaust, and does it do any damage to anything else?

IT gives your car better air flow. Its like having two mini mufflers so when you take them out the flow is better as a straight pipe. It depneds. I live in Florida and we do not have emissions anymore. So i dunno about your state. But the sound is awsome.
