I was just wondering how many miles per tank of gas all of you "spirited" drivers get?
I haven't been on the highway once in the last half tank, but i'll tell you this much, I just got about 110 miles for that half... pretty disheartening.
:bigun2:
Anyway, I want to hear how many you guys get... best, worst...
thanks!

I don't drive the car as much as my wife...even though I bought the car for myself !!!
She loved driving it so much we changed cars...Her heavy foot gets 290-330 per gal. with 89 octane gas. I usually get 14.2 gals of gas per fill up and wait to fill up again when the gas tank lights up. So, 19-24 avg mpg. Oh, this is with 80% city and 20% highway. Hope this helps.....by the way, I have a drop in K&N filter.

If I try really hard to keep the rpms up around the redline for the entire tank, I can get less than 200 miles out of a tank. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to get any less miles than that..... I bought a VTEC to wring the daylights out of it, NOT baby the trottle to increase my mpg. :smokin:

"city" driving ( most of my driving ) : 220-270 miles per tank depending on how i drive that week
"highway" : 330+ miles per tank, probably more...
always use 93 octane

350 on 15 gallons in mixed driving i think that is pretty good, if u want to save gas keep the rpms low and no VTEC, otherwise when i rip the car around i get around a 300 miles to 15 gallons

Past 2 fill-ups gave me 23.1 mpg average on my 02 TL-S.
I do rush hour driving in the moring and afternoon. I even though it runs on highway it is worse than city driving. Well, 23 mpg is pretty good for a car that can go pretty fast. I wonder what it will get on true highway driving.

What your problem is?
I get the rush hour traffic in the morning and in the evening.... I get about 280 to 330 miles per 13 to 15 gallons... I historically average about 22.5 miles per gallon... yeah it kinda sucks.... one time I drove to Dallas and I got an amazing 34 miles per gallon on just 9 gallons.... I was thoroughly impressed..... I asked the dealer why the large amount, because I thought we could get max 29 miles per gal... he told me that those numbers are averages...... he went to say that depending on your driving, you can get way more than 29 miles.....
Recap... 17mpg is my worst; 34 mpg is my best; consistantly avg 22mpg....

I've gotten 355 on the highway with 2 lines left. I average around 280-300 with about 1/8 of the tank left. In the summer I'm done to about 270 miles, I guess I just drive harder in the summer.

you guyz are lucky.. NY SUCKS MANNN...i get about 21 STILL by going cheap on the RMS... its like city driving even if your on the highway and gass prices are like 2.40$ and still increasing (premium)..
which brings me to a question - what is the ideal octane that should be used to fill up these acuras?
