I have had mine for about 3 years now. I will probably end up keeping it until it dies. I just pray to god its paid before anything major happens.

I will only get rid of mine if the Tranny does not die under warranty. So that would be until 100K, or 6/2010. Currently I'm at 46k. I purchased it certified, and my car is not under the extended tranny warranty. I'm not paying over $3k for a tranny on a car that will be 7 or more years old.

If the tranny is replaced then I dunno when I'm getting rid of it.

I have 140,000KMs, Im running mine to the ground, or if the extended warranty is done and my tranny is gone, then i'll decide if i wanna keep it for longer.

Getting close to 6 years. ~65k miles.

Not sure how long I'll keep it. Maybe till it craps out (I figure I've got 135k to go). Then again, may trade/sell when I can still get $8 - $10k for it. Use it to DP something else.

I won't miss it *too* much though. I've a 3G too.

I've had mine for 3 1/2 years and am gonna keep it for a long, long time. When my original tranny finally does die, time for the CL-S swap and then it will be good to go for another decade.

hmm, only had mine for a couple of months, 99 nbp with 146k miles on it, love it but the previous owner kinda messed up the body, its got dings and few dents and paints chipping so.... kinda leaning torwards saving up money for an 02 or 03, just love the front end more. and preferably TLS... and black on black... and navi... haha, man, its depressing thinking bout that and then looking at my shitty paychecks

Original owner...7 years and onward.

Plan to keep it as long as I can mainly because of its sentimental value and the memories associated with the car.

I'm running this car into the ground. It's only got 74k miles on it and it's in pristine condition. It's my daily driver and I love it.

seems like most of us plan on keeping this car long term. I always wanted to own a Acura Legend Coupe back in the day(1994-5), and still would buy one if I could find a good deal. If not I will hold on to my TL-S for 10 years lol

Have had mine 8 years 2 month and I've put 114,000 miles on it. Stil on the original tranny.

Replacing the motor mounts and timing belt in a few weeks.

Gonna keep it till it no longer worth fixing.

Own my 99TL since new (8yrs). I still love this car as it run smooth.
If I trade it, only for 2 reasons: 1) It's now facing a 100K tune up, and 2) because of my 2 babies, I may move to an SUV or minivan!

I own it for a year. Bought it used from someone. I'll keep until it ask me to replace the tranny. I might replace it in 5 year; waiting to see if the 4G TL is worth it. If not, thinking about getting a RL.

Bought my 00 in March of 04, currently has right at 95k. I just got a free tranny at 92k and I'm doing the timing belt around Feb. when I hit 100k....then keeping it for at least another 3 yrs until I pay off my Honda Aquatrax. It should be ready for at least another 100k. Then in 3 yrs. I'll look at an 05 or newer RL or a Lexus ES/IS--not as fond of the new TL but I am brand loyal to Honda/Acura so we'll see.

I currently have 186,000 miles on my car, and have owned it going on about 4.5 years. My goal is to drive it at least to 250,000 . . . maybe 300,000 miles. At this point I would have owned the car for about 8-10 years, and by then I think I will want/deserve something newer.

well the car was nicer overall and i love the way they look.....but it didnt have enough power and on top of that the dealer was trying to BS me. first they said they dont accept mother/daughter co-signers. then after i already signed my agreement form they tried to redo it. they took down the price of the car and raised my APR thinking i was gonna go for that. i already had gotten my windows tinted and everything. i said gimme back my down payment and u can have ur car back. lol

i was looking for the gold (burnt orange color) CL type-s at the time but couldnt find any close to me i looked in DE, NJ, PA, VA, NY, NC and WV.

so i went to Carmax and found this....

I'm bumping this thread because I changed my mind. I love this car too much to get rid of it. With that said I'm keeping it. After it is paid off I will enjoy NO car payments for at least 3 years. Then I will get myself an NSX, and keep my TL-S as my daily driver. If I have to pay for a tranny out of warranty, then Ohhh well. This car has been great to me with low cost of ownership and being great on gas. Looks amazing and everyone loves it.

i just got the car but i definitely wont sell it until after i graduate. and after that i see no reason to sell this car. it would make an awesome daily driver until it dies as i go through project cars every few years.

cant wait til i graduate... : )

I am surprised at everyone saying until she dies. My car is at 144k miles and if I still have it when it gets to 150k I will be surprised. I've had it since may 2006 bought it towards the end of High School. Was going to keep it through college. I dropped out and make enough to know its time to upgrade.

ive had my girl since 2004 and with a new trans, torque converter, water pump, rear main seal, and a few other things that were covered before the extended warranty ran out, she runs like a champ at 150K+. I wont be getting rid of her anytime soon. BUT i am going to Germany, and with gas at $9 a gal. over there i'll prolly need a second car. del sol?
