I know quite a few TL Owners and some CL owners that say they will never get rid of their 2nd gen. Then there are some that trade every 2 years. How long have you owned your TL currently, and how long do you think you will keep it?

For me --- owned it for 2 years so far, have 2 years left on loan, but after its paid off im keeping it till it dies

So far 6 years 8 month and 3 days. Maybe another 2 years. Or until I just a huge raise.

I plan on keeping it till it won't run any more, at which point I'll go buy an '03 TL-S.

2 and a half years, plan on keeping it indefinitely even after i get a new car.

I've had it for almost 2 years.
When I graduate college I'll get a bike (crotch rocket) and have the TL as a DD.
Then I'll get a NEW car when I can afford it.

I really like it but the spark seems to be going away..

Plus i'm going back to school so i might try to sell both of my cars and buy only a mid-sized one...

Keep it until it dies...I don't see the point of extensively modding a car if you are just going to get rid of it after a couple years.

I have been thinking about selling and getting an NBP with black interior, I love these cars too much to move on to something else at this point. I'll probably wait until they come out with a 4th gen Type-S before I buy something new.

Ive had mine for just about 3 years now. Ill probably keep it untill it wont run no more. Im in college, got 2 more years left so ill have it for the next 2 years plus maybe 1 or 2 adittional years ontop of that, then probably will be able to afford my first brand new car. maybe. Even after i get a brand new car, ill still keep my TL because i love the way it looks and its in great shape and would make a good daily driver if anything.

I used to say that I keep my cars until they "die"...

But the honest truth is that I will keep my cars until it is too painful to keep any longer (either through dependability inconvenience pains, or financial pains of constantly repairing things)...

I've had my car since I bought it brand new in 2003, and plan on at least another 10 years before expecting any of these sorts of "pains" though...

Had it for about 5 years... currently at 80k. Gonna let it go sometime next year after I take the California BAR exam.

Love the car, but gotta let it go before resale value drops too low.
