For those of you who have had or are waiting to have your transmissions replaced, how long did it take to get the replacement tranny?

For my first replacement back in July, it only took a day or so to get it and another day to install it. But it seems that it's taking a bit longer than that now.

Well, I'm on 2 weeks and 5 days, and my dealer still has no clue when the tranny will arrive. They said that it WAS on backorder, and they had no idea when one would arrive. You know, if they keep the car for a month, the least they could do is pay my car bill for that month

It's been 1 week and 1 day for me!! My dealer doesn't know when either. He says he was told 3 weeks and if there is any delays he will be notified. So since last we spoke he hasn't gotten any phone calls regarding delays, I guess it's safe to assume all is still on schedule!! I guess NO new is GOOD news!!

SO if the car is in the shop, and its waiting for a tranny for more than 30 days but you get a loaner from Acura... can you still file a claim for your car being a lemon?

I have no idea what the lemon laws are here in VA, but I will be checking soon.

It's been 10 or so days, with no end in sight.
The dealer gave me the old "well it's the holidays" line, so who knows how long it will take.

I just hope that whatever the inherent problem is, it is fixed BEFORE I get the replacement.

If I have to do it twice, I may chuck the car and go back to a ***ima.

I don't want to.....
