replacing hid's
Hey, i did this recently , i don't know what year you have but i did it on my 2000 acura tl 3.2 and it should only take about 30 minutes for both sides, not hard at all!
First thing you do, is find the protective cup , the black part, now that is held on by a screw, either torque screw or phillips, you take that out then turn the whole cover counter-clockwise to remove it!
Then you should see the Hid Wire harness attached to the HID bulb, there should be a spring that wraps around the side of the light bulb and gets hooked on the bottom of the assembly, So what you do is push the bottom part of the spring IN then RELEASE and the spring shold open, releasing the HID BULB AND HARNESS, then you just replace the hid bulb, and push the sping clip back on, Make sure when pushing the spring clip back on that you make sure that it gets hooked to the lower part of the bracket that it's suppose to hook to, and repeat for passenger side or driver.
I made the mistake of removing the spring clip by removing the screw that holds it in on top, DO NOT REMOVE THAT SCREW, or you are gonna have a fun time trying to line that thing up again, then when you are all done, you should see a metal piece that has a bolt head attached to it, that aligns your light beam, so if you turn it counterclockwise, i believe the beam goes down, and if you turn it clockwise the beam goes up, or it might be the other way around.
I hope this helps you out!

Another option is if you have a dremel they make a metal cutting disc. Attach one of those and simply cut a line across the top of the screw. Now you can use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screw.

yeah, when i changed my HID bulbs, somehow the springs wouldn't hold the new bulbs in....they'd pop back off the bulbs....so i had to guess which part of the spring (metal piece) i should bend and bent it so it doesn't pop off......took me like 45 min to one hour. Not that hard but that stupid metal piece pissed me off. -shawn
