Hi, I need to get the radio code for my 2001 TL, I don't know the serial number either, how do I get it w/out taking the radio out from the car? some people told me to press both 1 and 6 button and the serial number will appear up on the display but that didn't work either. I called my dealership and they said I need to take the radio out, dealership will do it for about 100 bucks.

 

Dont you have the little white card (usually in the leather manual case) with the radio code or the sticker in or on the side of your glovebox?

 

if not and you're out of luck, take the radio out anyways and get the serial.
what i did was call and told acura that i just bought a radio from them and that the code i was provided was not working and i need the code. they'll verified my vin and gave me the code. oh, i live in houston and ended up calling acura in Cali cuz the one here weren't very nice....

My service writer pried the fake-wood-looking plastic piece off the right side of the console and there was a sticker underneath with the code on it. (1999 TL)

 

how did you do it, turn the car off hold 1 and 6 then turn the radio back on while pressing the #s it worked for me good luck

 

That's not real wood? I've been duped again. The next thing you know, they'll try making something that looks and feels like leather ...
