How do i use the shift. Let's say i'm on the freeway. Can someone tell me how to shift. I would really like to drive the car the way it was built to be driven.

 

in the car...you have this knob. around the knobs are little numbers that say 1-2-d3-d4-d5....you can move the knob up and down through these numbers to shift =)

ok ok in all seriousness....u can either leave it in d4 or d5 or do one of 2 things:
1) put it in d5 then push it to the left, you'll be in sportshift mode. move up to upshift and down to downshift
2) gateshift by physically moving the knob up and down between 1-d5

 

there is nothing specila you need to do. just move it to the left and push up or down to up shift or down shift. the computer wont let you go to far down on gear changes.

 

 

leave it at D5 and relax

or put at 1 and rev it out when u want to have some fun

 

If you put the stick on sport shift you change the gears up and down. if your transmission has 5 gears, then the computer will shift fopr you from 1-2 or from 2-1. Where if you have a 4 speed transmission, then you can shift down to 1. If you forget to shift either way, the computer will do that for you. You'll notice that using the sportshift will use more gas. I use it in trafic to slow down and not waste brakes. It's fun but it's also nice to know that you can always have the computer handle the shit. If I had to buy a Porsche, it would be tiptronic. You get the best of both worlds.
