How do I eliminate the headlight on warning!?!?

Hey guys, I searched for an answer to this question but could not find anything. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of this warning. I love leaving my headlights on so I can see to get to my door at night, but the chiming is so annoying. Please help! Thanks in advance.

yah I know, I hate that stupid chirp too. The car seems sooo macho like when you press unlock on the keyless entry and the lights go on, then you open the driver door and you hear that a gay a$$ chirping. My friend also mentioned that too me, and said it sounded soooo gay. I would love to get rid of that chirp too.

yah I know. I mean I don't care for that warning. Even if my mom drives the car and forgets to turn the lights off, they will automatically turn off for her.

So what's the point of that indicator??? See the problem is, if Acura didn't install the chime, then people who are used to hearing it would complain that they always forget to turn off their lights. Those are the TL drivers who couldn't give a $hit about their car, and simply bought it as a beater car.

I don't think anyone would know unless they had the Helm electrical manual. It's most likely a relay activting the buzzer when the headlights are on while there is no key.

The problem is finding the right wire, once found, you can just snip it.

The eaiser way is to find where the buzzer is at ,and just remove the buzzer.

sounds too complicated for such a stupid thing.

However I'm wondering if this chime with disappear if you install an aftermarket alarm?? If not, will the headlights be turned off when the aftermarket alarm is armed??

wait the lights turn off by themselves on the 2002type s too? I thought if I left my lights on, my battery would die. How long before they turn off? Doesn't this kill you battery? Thanks in advance

Nope, once the driver door is closed, it's about 30 seconds. What I love is at night when you lock up the car and leave the lights on, they shut off by themself, and when you come back and press the unlock button, all the lights go on. I even leave my fogs running to give it a "pimped out" look for when i have a hot girl riding with me!!!

I love the A-Spec!!!

The beeper is built into the Drivers Multiplex Control Unit.

The Drivers Multiplex Control Unit is located at the drivers under-dash fuse/relay box.

If you disconnect the RED/BLK wire going to connector A6 this should eliminate the lights on reminder.

Connector A6 appears to be the center of three connectors - the RED/BLK wire should be the top row second from the left.

Please note that I have not done this mod. I have looked up the information from my 1999-2003 Service Manual.

Let me know if it works.
