Canary yellow...Stoplight Amber...however you want to call it, lets just say the guy with the TLs on here with the film on the lens, his fogs look like the yellow/amber/orange fog light color on an IS300. Only this guy's look way better than the IS fogs, and the IS fogs are sweet!

Yup ... I got the MAX Gold as well and they are not as bright as I thought.
For a white fog, I would suggest PIAA, but for bright amber fog, I am still searching....
Cheers !!!

The max gold appear really bright in the pic? Can you actually see the yellow on the road from the drivers seat? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but it appears there is moisture on the road and the reflection is more noticeable. I really like these, I'm just leary from all the other posts.

Here are my pics: ![](http://www.acurainspired.com/albums/albuo32/aai.sized.jpg)
The road is yellow in front, just look at the Maxima beside me:

I won't go too much into detail, these are HID fogs. This really can't help you since you have a 99 model and no stock fogs, unless you get the Value kit
or buy some Lexus fogs and custom fit them into your fogholes.

I bought the Max gold bulbs based on the pics and review that was posted to this site.
I regret buying them and if I could go back in time, I would definately not waste my money and buy them.
The bulbs that I have are not anywhere as close to as bright as the pics show. I am thoroughly disappointed with the bulbs and to top it off, my gf even asked me: "Aren't they supposed to be yellow??"

Ha, when I was doing this I didn't know too much about cars, lights, etc. I bought the 6000K D2S bulbs and replaced the low beams, so I figured since I have the film on my fogs, why not make 'em HID with my left over stock HID bulbs. So I bought two ballasts with D2 connectors and realized that the D2 bulbs won't fit into the 9006 sockets, so I had to modify. I basically "molded" the bulbs into the foglights.

What you can basically do is buy the yellow film for like $15 I think. It won't look as bright though (I had the film first before I did anything), which is why I decided to go with HID fogs.
In the end, I basically saved about $250. I could've bought the 9006 HID kit, but I used the old bulbs.
The only problem is that I don't really like the way it looks during the day. I have very little time right now, when I'm free I'd like to make a custom reflector or find some yellow glass and mold it into the foglight housing around the D2R bulbs
