How can I detect the tranny proble?

You'll feel the tranny slipping... so it will be pretty easy to diagnose. Also, if the car isn't shifting properly in auto mode then you should probably make a service appointment.....

ehh...i shifted down to 2nd gear on the highway few times...i think the fastest i was going was 60tho... i feel like the rpm needle doesn't see enough of the redline...so i help them reunite once in a while...
after all it's made by honda...world renown for naturally aspirated engines.... redline the sh1T out of it!

i think my tranny might go out...and im almost out of warranty....here are some symptoms:
when i accelerate slowly, the gas pedal shakes a little bit around the low gears at 2000 rpm....is it the torque convertor??
sometimes when it goes from first to second, it feels like it tried to shift once...failed...and then shifts to second
when i drive hard for a little bit, if i put my hand against the panel where it says "park, reverse, neutral, drive, etc" its kinda warm....
i need to know if i should keep driving like this or take it in b4 the warranty's gone

I don't believe the tranny extendes under the console. Sorry I have crawled under the car yet. The engine is transversely mounted (i.e., sideways in the engine bay) and the chassis is FWD. A RWD will have the transmissions between the front seats. It's probably heat from the exhaust pipe.
