Post how to...

I'm gonna sell my CAI, cause my dad is planning on reposesing my car himself...and he doesn't need the CAI (he doesn't like it at all...i love it). I've practically sold it already for 200bucks...so, i'm not worrying about that. What i am wondering, is: what is involved in putting in a comptech drop in filter? How do you do it? Hold long does it take...and such. Thx a lot!

Remove the bolts on the stock air box (next to your battery at the end of your stock intake), pop the cover and replace the filter.

Greenwich Acura billed me 1 hour to do this ($83). They said it was more involved than one would think.

Please stop laughing now. I'm serious.

You are not SERIOUS!!!! I would go back and complain like HELL!!! it does not take anywhere close to an hour...its just a few screws, no more than a few minutes with the right tools.

dude, you gotta go back and get something or some service at a discount....something!

If you guys knew how much I paid to have my Comptech parts installed you'd all take turns smacking me. I trusted the service department and they bent me over.

I will be complaining the next time I go back, but I know it will get me nowhere as I already have tried it. The service manager is really cool, but this sucked....

Basically this is the part that REALLY gets me. I dropped the car off at 8:30am and picked up the car at 5:30pm the same day. I asked how many people worked on it and was told 1 until 4:30 when another person was added to help finish the headers. I then got the bill:

(Mind you the car was only in the shop for 9 hours total minus lunch time.) The bill was for 14.5 HOURS.

What have I learned?
1) Don't shop for ANYTHING in Greenwich, CT.
2) Use Greenwich Acura for warranty repairs only
3) Use Park Ave Acura for anything non-warranty

Acura3200 is dead-on!!

That is the place I mentioned that quoted me $850 for sways/springs INSTALLATION ONLY, no loaner car and said I would have to pick it up the next day. However, I didn't like the service manager at all, or any one else there.

Then I found Park Ave. Thank God!!

You're saying you are not serious?

Damn dude... you really should demand a refund, contact Acura and complain, write letters, etc. I hate companies who think they can **** us over.
