So I'm curious; do you know for a fact the cable broke? I ask because my 2001 Accord (the platform the 2G TL was built from) suffered what appeared to be a broken cable in that when the hood release was pulled, the handle failed to retract and was effectively limp. The problem ended up being a binding latch mechanism. I lubricated the hood latch and exercised it through a number of open/close cycles and the problem was solved.

When you guys like it. This is my fixing of lower radiator support that happened before 2 years at my Infiniti I30. Lower radiator support rusting is big problem at Maximas/Infinitis and fixing is like 1500$. I fixed it for 10$. Or "fixed". This hood cable fixing costed me 2$. I'm a carpenter contractor. It is what I doing for living. Connecting things with systems that I pull out of my ass.
