I dont believe so. I wouldnt use it in the trans if thats what your thinking. For a while honda recommended their ATF for use in the CVT but that didnt last long and they came out with a new CVT fluid

Odds are it will work, but the stuff is formulated for the CVT. I would do a few drain fills with the actual stuff.

that sucks, people at dealerships are stupid, they sold me a tail light that almost was the same that didn't fit, then gave me my money back, and told me to go to acura on the other side of the lot(which they could've told me right away.)

stick with honda atf. our trannys are already fragile. not make it easier for them to break. u can use dextron as a temporary replacement if u cant find any honda atf and ur in a hurry.

note that the book says in `EMERGENCY use of Dextron3 to "top off"!!,
then requires an immediate full 3x3 method=12 qts purchased, to push all of it out!
thats how bad it is to the trans-

If you are under factory warranty- stay on honda fluid-
if past warranty- stay on honda fluid
Extended warranty from aftermarket company with no hassle trans replacement= try whatever you want that says ACURA approved on it and let us know

jper- why would you even consider a product that doesnt list our car as suggested use? or is this for a different ride than the acura?

the 3x3= 12 qts `change out method` should be done in one setting--
so you drain and refill- drive 5 minutes using each and every gear a few times to push new fluid forward and old fluid towards the pan
drain and refill
drive 5 minutes
More than that- like a day or a week, just mixes the stuff together

IMO- if you are going to a full changeout- do it right- get the most for your money
