Honda coolant type question for a '00 TLP

I know mixing two different types of coolant is trouble, but does this apply to two different types of Honda coolant?

Honda sells two types of coolant: one is the concentrated kind (black cap) and the other is the new pre-mixed Type-2 (blue cap).

My last coolant change was done 3 years ago at an Acura dealership; I suspect they probably used the old black cap type. My car came out before the new Type-2 coolant anyway.

So my question is: Is it ok to mix two types of Honda coolant? Can I drain&fill my car with Type-2?

Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll go ahead and replace the coolant with Type-2.

Honda probably used the old mix, but they would have reduced it to a 50/50

Strange, I've been buying Honda coolant from my Acura dealer since 2001 and it's always been pre-mixed.

Because the pre-mixed Type-2 (blue cap) came out in 2001.

Too bad my car is a 2000 model, eh.

So I replaced my coolant yesterday, and my car feels faster and shifts smoother.

Or maybe that was the new "speed holes" I put on my car.

Ok, jokes aside, for some reason my thought-to-be-long-dead passenger side tail lamp came back on after the coolant change.

Now I'm thoroughly confused by the correlation between coolant changes and tail lamps.
