Homemade fuel rail??

I was wondering since there is no aftermarket fuel rail for the second gen. TLs, is it possible to bore it out ourselves and run new lines.

is not like you're running a turbo that you need to increase gas flow...you might not wanna do a guetto engine mod of this caliber, it will come back and bite you in the ass someday.

I second what fsttyms1 said. There are no HP gains by just adding a fuel rail. The only time a fuel rail is required is when you do big engine mods like custom turbo.

Actually the Turbo CL guys find the stock fuel rail fine. They just added an additional injector to get the little extra fuel they needed.

And just making the rail bigger will do nothing unless you get bigger injectors as well.

2nd gen. there have been a few that have turboed.
and like mrsteve said. the stock rail is fine. simply adding another to the intake to add a little more charge is all you would need. a larger rail alone wouldnt do any thing. you would need larger flow injectors, probably a new pump to push them and some tuning to get them to flow more, all would do nothing for hp, unless you were under serious boost

Yea but knowing me I'd try to take something apart and I'd make the whole damn tranny fall out.

an engine is easy to take apart, the key is to get it back together perfectly.

yea i did that. it only takes about 15 min to take the upper intake manifold off.

i have about 2-3 hrs into smoothing it out so far. i want to do more. ill port match and polish more when i have more time to remove the lower manifold
