I believe www.x10.com has them. I've got one of the remote control plug-in units for a living room light and I taught my center Homelink Button the remote code. Now I can turn on the living room light as I'm pulling into the garage.

I don't have the home link acc, but I can tell you that www.x10.com is cheaper than www.smarthome.com. However smarthome has more selections than x10.

They also sell that stuff at Home Depot, but I believe it is a little more expensive. I'd like to get the remote lock to use for the back door to my house - wouldn't have to fumble for keys when coming home with my briefcase.

Gomez - be careful with the remote locks. They make two kinds. One is locked when there is no current to it. Problem is if you have a fire and it takes out your electrical, you will be locked in the house.

The other kind unlocks with no current to it. That saves you in a fire, but all a thief has to do is cut your power and your door unlocks.

A word of warning. I bought the control modules for my homelink system in my Accord a few years ago and it didn't work very well at all. The transmitter was fine because the garage door opened flawlessly but the lighting was really sparatic. It was way too expensive for the inconsistency back then. You might want to talk to more owners that have experience with this before you invest the money.

I agree. I looked into adding all this stuff to our house. My father-in-law has a lot of X10 stuff at his house and business.

After seeing how his stuff works, I came to the conclusion that X10 sucks. When you try to turn on a light or something, there is like a 2 second delay, and sometimes it just doesn't work at all. Also, he is always replacing modules, because they are very cheap and wear out after 6 months.

If there is something very specific you want to do, it's OK, but I wouldn't setup my whole house on X10.
