Holy Crap!
Holy Crap!
i just called the dealership n asked them how much it would b to install new brake pads n they said $150 + theyll need the car for 1/2 the day...is that even rite?...$150 for pads...n 1/2 the day to install...WTF?!?!?!
A good licensed mechanic can probably change out all four brakes pads in a matter of 10 min!!!
I went to my mechanic to have my front pads installed, and literally, he was done installing before I had time to pay!!! If it's just for the fronts...it takes no time...
as for the price, well I paid 25 bux CDN, so 150 USD sounds outrageous...
I would say, if you have any knowledge about cars, attempt this yourself, it's really not that hard to do.

lol...sweet...we should meet up sometime... well i used to live in ptown...but i just moved like few months ago to dublin...like the edge of it...over the bridge by in n out...but i still do 99.9% of stuff in ptown kuz im just so used to it...
I usually have bought OEM honda pads for all my hondas becuase alot of the aftermarket ones tend to squeak, so I just shell out the rediculous $48 for OEMs. I do them myself though. If you do attempt this though, I should warn you that you WILL need an impact driver if you plan on turning or replacing the rotors. There are 2 phillips head screws per rotor that are a bitch to get off unless you take an impact driver to it and beat the hell out of them. They come off fine, but budget another $3 for a trip to the dealer for new rotor screws because if they're in there tight, you will screw them up. Its really not too hard; just set aside a few hours on a Saturday and you're good to go.
