By HO im assuming they are just trying to say High Output Vtec motor. There is no HO Vtec. The only other vtec motor that honda has is i-Vtec.

I agree, it looks like 3.2HO VTEC. i suppose back in the day, 260hp outta a 3.2 6cyl was High Output.

You guys are laughing away when the OP is correct.

The 225hp J32 that was used in the TL and CL premium was referred to as a "VTEC"

The 260hp J32 that was used in the TL type S and CL type S was referred to as a "HO VTEC".

The were the same block, but the motors in the type S cars had a higher output than the base model cars hence the High Output Vtec or HO Vtec.

Got it?

there is no such thing as HO VTEC. VTEC does the exact same thing on both cars. it is not iVtec, and isn't even as good as DOHC vtec. so no, there is no such thing as HO VTEC. VTEC is not a power increaser, and is not the reason why the J32A2 has 35 more HP than a J32A1. hotter cams and dual stage intake plenum, less restriction in the intake and exhaust, will lead to all of that, though.

Not true, VTEC-e in the Civic HX, but essentially it's VTEC, too, so yeah. Stupid labels...

It's why I brought it up, but it's been awhile since I've read about any of those.

I knew it was called H.O. V-tech on edmunds, kbb, ect before I got the car. I would never call it that, cos I knew it just meant High Output, not some other variant of V-tech. I wonder why no one on here heard of this before. Irrelevant really though.

except when people attach VTECH, V-TEC, or even the correctly spelled VTEC graphics to their windshields
