hit by a Lancer..just have to vent
so im sitting on my girlfriends couch that looks out at the street where my car happened to be parked. the people that live next to her seem to think that they own the street so we have a lot of problems with them parking in front of her house. so the Rav4 that i parked behind backed out and left, and this lady in a Lacer backed in while she was on the phone. she wasnt even looking behind her or anything and she hits my car! so i did hurtles over the couch and ran outside and she WAS STILL ON THE PHONE! i look at her and give her a wtf? Still on the phone, "oh, did i hit you? i thought i felt something." honestly, how do you back into a car and not feel it? still on the phone " im sorry did i mess up your car?" " no its fine GET OFF THE FUCKING PHONE AND WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING" granted, there was no damage to either car but its just the whole situation that pissed me off. we have a hands free law in cali that the Selma's finest doesnt enforce and i was ready to rip her phone away and throw it! . so oblivious to the whole situation she looks at the cars and leaves...still on the phone. am i overreacting?

wow dude, I would be really really pissed off. I probably woulda taken her phone, put it under my front tire and let her watch it get smashed into a pancake. Fat as you describe her, she might have eaten it afterwards. lol

Welcome to AZINE. we have another chick
I would have hit the big bitch in the head. I am so picky about my ride. I dont even let my fiance park next to it. its a race to the garage for her because if i get there first its the driveway for her.

Be thankful it wasn't damaged.
The talking and driving really bother me. Hands free is better but still, when will people learn driving is a dangerous thing?
I guess not enough people die driving yet for them to start slapping people harder.

i would have been pissed too man. i read an article about this guy who would see people talking on their phone while driving. he would follow them and slash their tires when they weren't around and he would leave a note on the window saying " this could have been avoided, dont talk on your phone while driving"
i thought that was funny as hell

Driving & drivers......
It's not just cell phones, although they are the major thing for sure.
It's a whole new attitude most people seem to have now, that driving somewhere in your car is now become "free time" to do other stuff....talk on the celly, watch a DVD, eat, put on makeup, read a newspaper, write a report, work a crossword, turn around for long periods to look at people in the back seat while you talk to them, etc.
Many people seem to think that just driving and paying attention to traffic and what you are doing is wasting valuable time they could be getting something else "more important" done in. Hardy anyone seems to enjoy "just driving" anymore.
I don't mind some cell phone use if the driver is talented enough to do it without endangering everyone else and the call is at least somewhat important, and they say what they need to say and get off......
However, there seems to be a whole lot of people who are uncomfortable being by themselves for any length of time and just have to call and talk to someone the WHOLE TIME THEY ARE DRIVING. They apparently just can't simply drive and/or listen to a cd or radio, they HAVE to be talking to somebody. There is a woman next door to me who EVERYTIME I see her come out and get in her car, she has the cell phone out calling somebody BEFORE she even gets the key in or buckles up. No doubt she is still talking when she gets where she is going.
As little attention as many people pay to their driving anymore, it's a wonder there are not even more wrecks than there are.

I feel ya man. I park right outside my window at work and somebody did the samething to me. There were a few scratches and the guy was being a jerk, like its no big deal. So I filed and ended up getting $280 out of it!
Con - i'm an asshole, but only because he was one.
Pro - I got $280 in my pocket and I removed my front plate, because I can always use my accident as an excuse.
