yes yes....i know..... nothing to be prode of since many of you has gone up to 145mph or something, but its been awhile since i came here... so whats the new record now? has anyone hit 150? if so how many passenger did you guys have? and what mods? i have no mods whatsoever, when hitting 130mph i had 650lbs worth of people in the car INCLUDING my self, i was too scared to go faster due to the stock tires.... im planing on getting the yokohoma db's i herd its real quite yet rovides great tracktion and its w rated.... has anyone tried it? also, does anyone know if billstien is going to make shocks for TL or not? i'm still waiting on that...

My Dillema : Mugen springs VS Comptech Springs with Koni Shocks ..what shud i pick ?

 

The fastest I've seen is 153MPH. The stock tires are V rated, that means they're good for 149MPH. Not that you should be going that fast.

 

139 on stock rubber- I DON'T recommend it to anyone. Honestly, I don't drive like that anymore either.

Stock tires bald at 14,500 miles due to my driving style

Replaced with Yokohama Avid V4's- 215/55/16's and I LOVE them. Great traction, very low noise and most of all, piece of mind that they're not the stock crap anymore.

At about 600 miles on my TL-S i was slightly shy of the 150 mph mark. Just be careful and make sure there aren't that many cars on the road (also no cops!!!)

130+ with other people in the car? That is just totally irresponsible. You should be ashamed for risking someone else's life. There is a time for everything, and the freeway with 4 passengers is no time for driving at suck a high rate of speed.

Well... I agree and disagree... 130mph is the speed I drove at for 2 and 1/2 hours on the Germany's autobahn... no big deal... I felt safe knowing that the drivers on the road are well manered and well taught...
Driving at speeds of over 100mph on US highways is another story... with basically every idiot who can sign his name getting a drivers license here the roads becoming very unsafe...

I used to do over 145MPH (roughly 250KMH) everyday on the way to work and school while living in Germany. Grishulia is right, though, it is way different here because people react different, in general. I had to jump through hoops to get my german drivers license and not everyone gets it, plus it is very ($1000.00+) expensive.

done 146, and for real, it was pretty scary cuz I had stock tires on. I'll never ever do it again though. got my 225/55/16 z-rated good years, I like'em.

Did 145 mph on stock tires/engine. I was by myself racing with a new Volvo S60 at 3 a.m. so there were no other cars around.
BTW, I would not go that fast if I have passengers. It is one thing to risk your own life but a totally different story when there are other people in the car with you.
