Hilarious on the highway

Last night I'm in the left lane doing about 115km/h on the highway when I see this Volvo V70 wagon beside me...anyhow he stays stationary with me, and then I turned my head to see the driver and he gives me this "hey man you wanna race" look. So I started laughing, but while doing that I switch into SS mode, gear it down to 3rd gear and cruise like that for about 30 second. Then I see the guy take off, so of course I also did, and blew by the guy within about 4 seconds...I reached about 170 km/h then decided that the race was over. He passed me at about 200 km/h but I figured it was stupid for me to catch up again, since I would end up raping the guy again....

I love when stupid people in their mediocre at best cars pull up to you and think they can take you at any speed in any condition....

so funny!!!

I don't know how we would stand up against it but Volvo has the V70R now, same as the S60R sedan. 300hp twin turbo in a station wagon. What will Volvo do next?

my dad was thinking of buying a volvo v70 about 4 years ago. The guy that i raced was the year after they discontinued the 850 wagon which was in like 1998. Anyhow I know for a fact his car was pumping no more than 170HP, and he didn't have the turbo. On top of which he's only a 5 cylinder...

whatever that's besides the point, the point is, I made the guy look like a total idiot for even attempting to race me and my TL-S....

hahahaha

The V70R runs mid 14's. A good foe for the TL-S, although I would recommend going from a roll, because AWD would rip us a new one.

i was on the gsp last week in the fast lane when a new lincoln ls started tailgating me at about 80 - 85 mph.so i gassed up and pulled to the rite lane and let him pass me the i hit it after i let him pass thinkin i was gonna pass him no problem but that wasnt the case . i was tapped out in 3rd at about 115 and could barely catch him then when i hit 4th i felt like i was staning still as he pulled away . i had my brother and cousin in the car beggin me to slow down so i did . but i must admit i was pretty pisssed . i let him get a head of steam up and a sec or 2 i know it woulda been closer had i punched it the same time he did but im shocked at the speed of that lincoln . i have the headers . intalke and c/t exhaust . has anyone else had an experience with these cars?

The Lincoln LS is not the fastest of cars, but at 85 MPH, you were in HIS territory, which is to say you'll get a good look at his tail-lights. The new LS V8 is faster than the older models--so next time, don't try him near the end of 3rd gear. The V8 will pull away slowly and steadily past 90-95 MPH. As the old proverb goes, "There ain't to replacement for displacement." :p
