Highest RPM anyones been to...
what is the highest any has been to on the 5 speed ss mode ? ive only barely tap the 6000 rpm line and my engine sounds hella sweet up there..... but im a bit scared to bring it up to anything over 6500.... what about you guys?

You have to watch with going over the redline. A friend of a friend voided his BMW M3 warranty because of that. He brought the car in for service and he got a phone call from the dealer. "We got a problem here" the guy said to him. The car’s computer ratted him out.

I don't think that's likely to happen... My friend's M3 is full of mods. Never have problems with the service guy... I take that as some BS from them. I mean come on... the car have rev limiter. Unless the guy miss shifted, then he might throw a rod or something... But then he had to FORCE it into the gear...

I forgot to shift once while I was in SS mode and it got to the end of the redline area, it then cut gas off to the car to bring the RPM back down.

After repeated engine cut-offs when run to high, doesn't the car automatically shift into the next gear as a protective measure???
I'm 95% sure this is true, although I don't want to say why right now.
