HID's Unleveled or Supposed To Be Like That?
On my 03' TL, the HID's seem to be unleveled. I parked in front of a wall and turned on the lights, the driver HID seems to be higher and more bright than the passenger HID. I took it to the dealer since its still under warranty and they told me that "this is normal because the HID's are not like regular bulbs, they spread". I think hes BSing out of his @ss so does any one else have this prob? Thanks for the help in advance.
I don't have an answer for your problem but that dealer is an idiot.
If anything, HID's are very focused and "not spread" hardly at all. I've noticed a very definite "cut off" when the light shines off in the distance in front. The lights on my last car (halogens) would fade into the distance in front, even a little further than the HID's. I could just re-aim them a little higher but I think I'd start pissing off oncoming drivers. Hmmmm....may do it anyway.

I had to level my lights too after I dropped the car, I noticed that they seemed to almost be pointing on the groud. I have them shining slightly up more, I think I do piss some drivers off, but whatever, they'll live. Anyways, if you look down you'll see a crown like bult, just take a philips screwdriver and place it so the teeth is lined up with the crown bolt. Then turn and see if the light goes up or down. I first took mine to an empty lot and adjusted it to where I wanted them to shine as in how far up, then I went home and shined them onto my garage door and leveled them that way. If you do a seach on "adjusting headlights" there are a few threads that might help. Good luck!
Oh, btw...HID's do NOT spread, there is a definite cut off on top and bottom. They spread a little bit on the sides but I definitely would not say HID's "spread".

yeah the dealer is a schmuck. I have aligned my lights to be 50% ground, 50% straight...I dont like blinding others plus I can see the road better.
Here is how to do it properly: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/images/Aim.pdf
