My Passenger side HID comes on when I turn the lights on, but then turns off after a while. If I turn the lights off then on again, it'll come on but then shut off in a few minutes. The light is not pink.

Could it be the ballast?

 

or igniter..

swap bulbs left to right to be sure.

if the driver bulb on passenger side does same thing.. check igniters and ballasts..

so i'd try swapping those left to right too.

 

I know the ballast is a square box, but I've never seen an igniter.

how does it look? Where is it located?

I know I can get an HID kit for 60 bucks that comes with the bulbs and ballasts, but how about the igniter?

swap bulbs as suggested,,pink on startup -when pointed at a wall- is ONE sign of impending failure
Flikker is another
So is weak output- one side to the other not same in brightness or color

replace bulbs in pairs or they do not match at all~

 

wiki HID and understand how the parts work together

If you have any moisture inside the housing lens- thats got to be fixed before a full repair of lights is made
