HID Fogs

i got real HID FOGS installed but they put out so much light and were just too bright too look at because it was a SAE approved design that used a d2s bulb in a reflector system. so i spent all day today taking off my bumper, opening up my fog lights and placing a bluish filter at the base of the bulb. it let it dry and i sealed it back up. the result is beautiful. i don't have pics yet, but you just gotta see it. plus, nothing beats real HID. it feels so good to see the xenon flash a second time after i already turned on the headlights.

Can you shed some more light on how you installed a blue filter? I wanted to make my fogs yellow without using yellow bulbs. Is there a yellow filter available, and how do u install it?

Thanks

450 cash, no tax. blue filters were 40, expensive but they work well. i had my girlfriend drive it around for me and its sooooooo cool. the light is very blue from far away and as it gets close turns pure xenon white. pics coming

do you think 450 was expensive?

bobatimez, did you use aqua capsules for the fogs? I have HID fogs too and I want them to be a little more blue.

ok, i gotta tell you guys again. the color change is sooooooooooooooooooooo sweet! From far away they are very blue white. when the car get closer it sparkles a whiter color and when it gets close it looks like pure white. before there was a hint of yellow, but no longer!!! I'm getting the pics developed so they will be here soon. the blue cap i got it from sales@suvlights.com they are delicate and expensive but work well. The guy's name is Jen and he is dying for business, so tell him that John (that's my first name) with the Acura-TL sent you. im not sure if he has yellow though. 96TL, it takes away a considerable amount of light, but i couldn't drive with them anyway cuz they were too bright.

I just emailed Jen about those filters. I will post his reply as soon as it comes in. I basically asked for more info on them and if they have them in yellow!

i just drove on the freeway with them and it was aural experience. i only drove with the fogs which i know is illegal, but the color was this nice blue that reminded me of ocean water. the light was subtle but powerful. it reflected off everything making it feel like being in a video game at night. im going a little far telling you guys this but they made me feel calm and serene, like i was driving through water. nevermind, i know you all think i ve gone mad.

oh, my good friend AccordV6R(he who helped me out on this project) just had his first born son.

Also, does the blue filter go directly over the bulb or does it go in the light housing?
