sup ravi, 8000 and 8500 will be very blue and would look good, but you have to sacrifice some brightness for it. I have 8500z on mine they look awesome, but the sites that you mentioned are selling them a tad expensive that what i paid for them , i got them for $130, from http://www.globalpremier.com/hid-d2bulbs-2.htm, check um out. 6000 is not a bad choice to go with either, but believe me 8500z really stand out.

yeah but know our ballast wont support anything over 6000k...actually i think our ballast wanna shit themselves everytime you turn on the 6000s.

that link you had was for 8000...no way jose...plus you'll run the risk of getting a ticket. If you replace with an OEM HID bulb, the dealership will charge $136.00

OR, if you just want the color you can buy those $12 bulbs!

not true. Our ballasts can take on 8000k. Forum member BlackShadow has them, it works just fine. Do a search and you can find the pics he posted.

I have 6000k on my car for almost 2.5 years now. No problem at all

that's true. most cops don't like headlights that are too blue. If you just want to be different than others, 6000k will do.

pimpravi- our ballasts CAN support 8000ks....i just bought 8000k D2Rs this morning from plasmagarage.com (for $135). I'd buy from there, i emailed the guy and he said he gives a 1 yr warranty, and one guy bought 6000k and changed his mind to 8000k and he let him switch bulbs....nice place. just my 2 cents. good luck. -shawn

What * Kelvin should I consider if I was looking for a brighter lighting set? I thought that the higher you go, the brighter it becomes?

4300K (which is stock) has the best light output. 6000K is whiteish/blue they will LOOK brighter but the light output will be slightly less. the higher the number... the brighter and more blue/purple they will LOOK but the output will be less.

personally, i wouldnt go higher than 6000k.

this should explain things for ya!

What about HID's color?
The color of the light source is expressed as its color temperature. As the color temperature increases, the color of the light moves from yellow to white to blue-white. HID headlights provide light at a higher color temperature than standard halogen headlights, which gives them a crisp white appearance. More K does not mean it is brighter.
