5000k is a nice white with blue tint- 6000 are more blue with a white tint and are good for seeing road markings and signs.
I spent $150 with Excelerate for the Kaixens and am very happy with them.

I have kaixens, those are the best way to go. Tried cheap ones they look nice but dont light up the road as well. My 8500k kaixen light up the road ALOT better then 6000k generic ebay ones.
